Kenn & Chad in Mexacali working on Church
We made record progress yesterday (March 24, 2013) with 27 trusses built and they were our largest ever, spaning 34 feet. We estimate that yesterday afternoon we had 90 people working which is a lot of people to keep going forward. There are 1,100 people at the camp this week and each moring and eveing they sit facing a stage that is next to our building going up so we are getting a lot of exposure. read moreWork in Tijuana with PLNU almost finished!
Tijuana building project in partnership with PLNU is almost complete. Tijuana Church almost complete! We have to apply one more coat of mud to one half of the drywall and then texture. We then need to paint the ceiling so we can install fans and lights. PLNU had previously scheduled a trip for next weekend to do the painting, so we are leaving as much painting as we can for them.

Hola a Todos! Good evening from Tijuana! What a productive couple days we’ve had! This team is absolutely committed to hard work. We’ve set some new records so far for Lazarian World Homes. We have made it farther in two days of building than any other team and we completed all 33 of our trusses for the roof by 4pm Tuesday (they usually take into Thursday to finish!). It’s a great thing that we’re ahead of schedule because it’s likely going to rain on Friday, so we ideally should have the roof finished by then....

Mexicali, Mexico 2012 - Pastor Ricardo has labored for years in a poor area of Mexicali without a building of any kind. But on November 19 a LWH team led by Chad Coil,began to change that as they arrived on the scene. Azusa Pacific University joined in that week and the congregation will be soon in their new building. LWH helped to provide a worship center, a classroom and two bathrooms. A team will finish the project the second week in January.
